Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Lukfata Baptist Church is our mission to the world. Making disciples begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Lukfata Baptist Church members have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of ministries.

Missionary Support

When we’re unable to take the gospel to foreign lands we can help send those who go in our place.  LBC maintains a missionary zeal, and we are excited to be partnered together with those families who are bringing the life-giving message of the gospel to the furthest corners of the globe.

Children’s Ministries

LBC offers the opportunity to impact the next generation for Christ through our various Children’s Ministries.  We have programs aimed at the hearts of children that include weekly Sunday School classes and Children’s Church, Wednesday night Discovery Clubs, and Vacation Bible Schools.

Community Outreaches

At LBC we believe that the church is to have an impact within the local community.  The opportunities to both be a blessing to those around us while sharing the life giving gospel of Christ abound.  As such, we are continually expanding our reach and recruiting members to help fulfill the call to preach the gospel to every creature.  These outreaches come in a variety of forms and require varying levels of abilities so that it doesn’t matter your age, skill-set, or your station in life there’s a place for you to serve.

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our special music and choir ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir.  These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of LBC, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

The usher team at LBC fills an important role. They are involved in collecting of tithes and offerings, ensuring the safety of the building during services,  helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men whose ministry is important to church life.

Camp Counselors

Each summer, LBC attends a family camp. The week-long event involves games, a lot of preaching, great food, good worship, and the intentional influence of camp counselors. The camp counselors are selected, screened, and trained for this important camp ministry. They find that their ministry is personally rewarding, and both campers and counselors grow in the process.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is one of the summer highlights for our kids here at LBC.  It’s a great way for teens through adults to gain practical experience in ministering to others in an exciting, fun-filled, hectic, yet fulfilling week.
